1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Adaptive Kitchen at adaptivecooking.com and app.adaptivecooking.com, operated by Kitchen Assist LLC, doing business as Adaptive Kitchen (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Adaptive Kitchen provides tools for organizing and adapting recipes, planning meals, managing pantry and shopping information, and connecting with other cooks. Feature availability can depend on your plan, settings, location, and the current release.

2. Your Account & Choices

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Use your own account and the app’s sharing and helper-permission controls when collaborating with others.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Do not create accounts for children where legally required parental consent has not been obtained.

You control optional pantry, shopping, accessibility, and notification settings where available. Some changes affect what appears in the interface; confirm your current settings before relying on a feature.

3. Cooking, Accessibility & Nutrition

Adaptive Kitchen offers general cooking information and accessibility-minded suggestions. It does not provide medical advice, a diagnosis, treatment, or a personalized clinical nutrition plan. Consult a qualified professional about health-related dietary restrictions, rehabilitation needs, or individual safety concerns.

Assess suggested methods against your abilities, equipment, environment, and available assistance. Follow appliance instructions and current food-safety guidance. Use appropriate temperature checks; an image or visual appearance alone cannot establish that food is safely cooked.

Check product labels for allergens, ingredients, preparation instructions, and serving sizes. Nutrition calculations may be estimates and can vary by brand, portion, preparation, and ingredient match. Imported nutrition may reflect the source recipe rather than later substitutions. Review quantities, substitutions, and nutrition before using a recipe for a dietary decision.

4. Chef Agent, Recipe Studio & Images

Recipe Studio supports creating new recipes and reimagining existing recipes using the preferences and information available to it. Review the prepared draft before approving and saving it. Focused Chef help about a cooking step, substitution, or app feature provides guidance and does not by itself approve a new recipe or change a saved one. Speaking a question or listening to an answer does not replace an explicit confirmation required by the app.

AI-generated recipes, instructions, conversions, suggestions, and images may contain errors or omissions. Review them before saving, cooking, shopping, or sharing. Generated images are illustrations and may not precisely represent your ingredients, equipment, method, or finished food.

A conversational recommendation does not by itself confirm that a recipe, calendar entry, shopping list, or other record was changed. Check the app’s review screens and saved results. AI assistance is not an emergency service or a substitute for human supervision.

5. Your Content & Recipe Sources

You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. You give us permission to store, process, format, display, and transmit that content as reasonably needed to provide the features you request, including sharing with the recipients you choose and using service providers described in our Privacy Policy.

Only upload, import, or share material you are authorized to use. Recipe import does not transfer ownership of a publisher’s text, photographs, or other protected material. Respect applicable laws, attribution requirements, and source-site terms. Imports can be incomplete or unavailable when a source restricts access.

You are responsible for reviewing your content and keeping your own copies of material important to you.

6. Kitchen Connections & Collaboration

Share only content appropriate for the people you choose. Circle members and authorized helpers may have different permissions. A helper relationship can include a friend or family member as well as a caregiver.

Public recipe links may be forwarded and viewed by people outside your connections. Sharing a recipe is separate from granting access to your pantry, shopping information, or full calendar. Review permissions before granting helper access. Removing a connection or revoking access does not remove content already copied or saved by another person.

Do not use messaging, invitations, or public sharing to harass others, send spam, distribute unlawful content, or disclose someone else’s private information without authorization. Use available report, block, and access controls, or contact support for help.

7. Pantry, Planning & Shopping

Receipt text, screenshots, photos, and manual purchase review are alternative ways to record what you received. Review the proposed items, quantities, categories, and shopping-list matches before confirming. Food purchases you confirm can update Pantry according to your settings, including additional food purchases that were not on your original list. Household and other non-food purchases should not be recorded as food stock. Items not purchased should remain outstanding for a later trip.

Pantry availability and shopping projections depend on recorded quantities, units, recipe servings, scheduled meals, and your tracking choices. An item on a shopping list is an intention to buy, not confirmation that it is at home. Confirm purchases and cooked meals using the app’s controls so inventory can reflect those actions.

Review receipt scans, dictated entries, ingredient matches, and unit conversions before committing them. Check uncertain quantities and food supplies yourself. A projection is not a guarantee of availability, freshness, or suitability.

Third-party retailers control their own accounts, products, substitutions, prices, delivery, pickup, checkout, and returns. An exported list or shopping handoff is not proof that an order has been placed, paid for, or completed.

8. Trials, Plans & Charges

Any paid plan, trial, usage package, or add-on is governed by the price, included features, usage limits, trial duration, and billing terms disclosed when you select it. Development or example pricing does not establish your purchase terms.

If an offer includes recurring billing or a trial that converts to paid service, its renewal timing, amount or calculation method, cancellation process, and any payment requirement must be presented before you authorize it. Additional usage charges require the authorization described in the applicable offer.

Review checkout disclosures before purchasing. Cancellation and refund requests are subject to the terms disclosed for your purchase and applicable law. Contact support@adaptivecooking.com for billing assistance. These terms do not set a launch price or promise a particular trial entitlement.

9. Optional SMS Notifications

Program name: Adaptive Kitchen Kitchen Connections Alerts. Optional SMS notifications are being prepared for availability and are subject to carrier approval and technical availability.

What you may receive: Non-promotional app notifications about Kitchen Connections event invitations and reminders, shared recipes, and new messages, based on the options you select. SMS does not replace the app’s event or message records.

Your consent: When enrollment is available, provide a mobile number you are authorized to use and affirmatively opt in using the SMS consent control. Entering a phone number, accepting these general terms, purchasing a subscription, or being invited by another member does not by itself enroll you. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase.

Frequency and charges: Message frequency varies based on activity and your preferences. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Any separate Adaptive Kitchen charge for an SMS feature must be disclosed before purchase.

Stop: Reply STOP to unsubscribe. A final confirmation may be sent to acknowledge the request. Do not expect further program alerts after opting out unless you enroll again. Contact support if you need help with your preferences or a changed phone number.

Help: Reply HELP or email support@adaptivecooking.com. Once the program is enabled, alerts will use our designated number, +1 (833) 809-0524. That number is not an emergency hotline.

Delivery: Delivery and timing are not guaranteed. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not rely on SMS for emergencies or time-critical safety instructions. Check event details in the app.

Privacy: Our Privacy Policy explains mobile-data handling. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Notify us if your enrolled number changes or is reassigned.

10. Acceptable Use & Service Protection

Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass permissions or usage limits, impersonate another person, upload malicious code, or interfere with the service. Do not use another person’s credentials or access private kitchen information without permission.

We may restrict or suspend access to address misuse, security threats, legal requirements, or material violations of these terms. You may stop using the service and request account assistance or deletion through support. Ending use does not automatically resolve outstanding authorized charges or erase records that must reasonably be retained.

11. Availability & Responsibility

We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but availability, integrations, and automated results can change or be interrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee that every feature, result, import, notification, or third-party connection will be accurate or uninterrupted.

You remain responsible for reviewing information and making cooking, shopping, sharing, and dietary decisions appropriate to your circumstances. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Changes & Related Policies

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Updated terms will show a revised date. Where required, material changes will be communicated and additional agreement obtained. Changes do not authorize undisclosed charges or enroll you in optional SMS alerts.

Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled. Separate third-party terms apply when you use their services.
